Meet Britney- Intern
Growing up surrounded by family members in the medical, mental health, and law enforcement fields, I quickly learned the importance of mental health care and grew a passion for my field.
Prior to entering my career in counseling, I spent 12 years in the social work field helping connect people to individuals who could help them start their journey toward healing themselves and their families. Throughout that experience, I realized over time, I wanted to be the one who walked alongside individuals in their healing process instead of watching from the sidelines.
While the root of my approach lies in cognitive behavioral therapy, I understand that it takes a variety of approaches to reach the clients I work with. I strive to create an environment rich with empathy, compassion, and mutual respect, while also understanding that creating such an environment requires honesty from both myself and my clients. Through these approaches, my goal is to help clients overcome obstacles, reach their treatment goals, and heal from their unique and complex experiences.
I have been a full time resident of Park County since 2013 and enjoy spending my weekends camping, four wheeling, and being on the lake with family.
